| A 12-year-old female mixed
breed dog, weighing 11 kg was presented with a history of anorexia and
lethargy. The exploratory abdominal palpation revealed an abnormal mass
in the abdomen, which was further localised to the to the spleen via X-ray
and ultrasound examination. Splenectomy and the cut surface of the spleen
showed a 3,5x3,2 cm well-delineated, white, firm mass, punctuated by areas
of haemorrhage or necrosis. |
